This is post friendship. I recently made contact with an old friend that I was very close to. She told gave me her number and told me to give her a call. She said that she had thought about me a lot and we should get to know. I called her and left a message but she has not returned my call. I know she has kids so possibly they erased the call. I should add that that reason we lost touch was because she got pregnant and married my ex's best friend so I became difficult for us to keep in touch. Any thoughts on this. Would she have bothered to give me her phone number if she didn't want me to call. I really miss her and would like to be friends again. NOT because of my ex. I just want her friendship back.

You've heard of the old saying, "try, try until you succeed"..

Just because she didn't reply, anything could have happened, give her another ring...

I doubt that the ex's friend has said " no, i don't want you to be friends with her again"...

And, i doubt she would have given you her number.

But, time has gone by, re-building takes a bit of time, her life has changed a lot over that time, and whilst your excited and can't wait, maybe she has been busy, or away, or anything...

Give her another call.

Well after our initial contact, she didn't call like she said she would. So I called her on the scheduled night of the week, ( we had agreed to call each other on a certain night at a certain time. First time I got the machine and left a message. Then I emailed. Tonight she answered. Something seemed different. She seemed strained. Not as open as she was the last time. She was working on a project on the computer. That fine I understand. I guess I'm just a little concerned. I don't want her to think I"m creepy or desperate calling her all the time or something. We were suppose to make a date to get together over the holidays, she's the one that suggested it the last time we talked.But tonight she wouldn't set a date. I'm just really confused.
