Well, I can only speak for myself and past experience, and I am living with this problem right now. I am pretty confrontational when it comes to what is bothering me. I can't play the game of "say it in a joking manner", (sorry, but it I think that is a mind-game) just say it if it is bothering you! Whatever response you receive, it is still your choice on how to handle it. No matter how it is answered by him, it is up to you to decide if you believe what he tells you. If not, decide if it is something you can't live with, then tell him that. If you do believe him, then let it go.
And in answer to "In Need", Sorry for the generalization, women may do the same thing, but I have never met one that did.Comment

Ok I'm trying not to get away from the thread I'll say 1 more thing, maybe, lol here's my comment but it's not really about Lies of omission --
A girl will lie to avoid hurting people's feelings....
A guy will lie to avoid getting in trouble....
No matter how you slice it, the end result is a mess! Right?

Lying is purposefully telling an untruth. Omitting (failing to tell) something may or may not be a lie. For example seeing SuzieQ and saying I didn't see SuzieQ when asked if you did you did, is a lie. Saying I stopped to help someone with a car problem and not saying it was SuzieQ may be an omission - provided you weren't asked if you had seen or spoken to her. Then it may come down to motivation - if a relationship is to the point that it's getting into that sort of thing it's probably in trouble.Comment

Karma - A relationship with omissions is a relationship that causes doubt. Perhaps its all innocent, but it creates the making of a dishonest and doubtul relationship. It has been done to me many times, but what the guys fail to understand is that we're often more intelligent than they give us credit. You notice discrepancies, which prompts you to look further, and often you find that these omissions lead to a lot of untruths. In your case, this may not be the case at all........but I still have to question it because it has happened to me and I know what the result was every time. The reason "he" didn't tell me his ex girlfriend had been contacting him was because he WANTED to cheat with her, planned to cheat with her, and did. His intentions weren't honorable.....therefore he omitted information that might possibly "clue" me in.
Hopefully not the case with u, but you certainly have a right to be doubtful.Comment
