As for moving closer to his kids, there are reasons, that I won't get into, that made him leave that state. I make sure he goes back at least once a month, but closer would not be good for him (he has told me that). If he could go down every weekend, that would be good, but financially not feasible right now.

Thank you, I mentioned therapy to him and he rolled his eyes and walked away. So, I followed him and asked what he thought, he said "Do you really think I would talk more to a stranger than to you, who I love?" So, I will keep the subject open and see if he changes his mind. I think this relationship is in a rocky place and getting thru it will be an answer for the future.

Just tell him that having a therapist would be more like a meadiator to help you guys comunicate to one another. Say that it would help the relationship grow stronger, and that it is not that you want him (or expect him) to tell the stranger things it is that you need some one there to move the relationship along better. Also with better comunication a higher sex drive and a closer relationship.Life is like play dough, you mold it into what you want.
