I THINK I WANT HIM BACK! (now that he's engaged)

i think i want him back and i dont know what to do. we still talk on the phone but i told him to stop calling me. cause i cant deal with the fact that this is happening. yes i left him 2 years ago and i was living with my current boyfriend at the time but he was the best thing that happened to me and i knew that and i was making plans to leave my current one. im so confused i think its the fact that im depressed. is so much wrong in my life that everytime i try to make everything great again and think positive something goes wrong. this is good i will have to come back write more maybe this is what i need .

I think your heading says it all.

Yep this is a good place to vent, and express.

If he was seeing you whilst you were with your boyfriend, on and off for 5 years, and still calls you, yet he's engaged now, guess what? He's not a good catch ..

      How's that?

      Feel better?

      You deserve better.

Haha! CW, you make me laugh.

She's right though. Move on. The good thing is now you know what you are looking for.

The feeling is common and pretty natural. Seeing a position that you could have filled about to be filled by someone else can cause a panic and a false sense of "last chance" interest.

When you do meet the man of your dreams and fall in love with Mr. Right - the last thing you will want is all the exes coming out of the woodworks to see if they can snag him back before he crosses over into "never to be" land.

Its good that you have asked him to stop calling, you closed the book on the relationship a long time ago - keep it closed. In your heart you know its not what you want, I wouldn't advise getting involved and throwing him off track of what could lead to his happiness just so that you can dump him down the road etc. Do you know what I mean?
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.
