I disagree with the keeping them both. Real friends don't say choose. I would look out for you and if they want you as a friend they need to put the effort into keeping you as a friend. Something like this is me...like me because its me not because you feel I justify you not liking her. Their "friendship is theirs to work out not for you to be put in the middle of.
