No doubt that once you ask, you already know and are only hoping for people to confirm what you believe, or to give you any sliver of hope or reason to stay.

Do you just not like being taller than him when you wear heels or does he ask you not to wear them? I ask that because it could some real insight to his insecurity or controlling nature.

Me and my bf are virtually the same height but I love high heels , and he loves my style and with them on I tower a good 4 - 6 inches above him. He could care less about it.

When you say you have to avoid him when he's been drinking that is a huge red flag unless he only drinks once a year. If he drinks more often then that and you have to avoid him because he may become abusive, you'd have to know in your heart its not a good match.

He doesn't sound like a good match for ANYONE right now, as it sounds like he has some major growing up to do. Once a man finally realizes that impressing his friends is not more important than his personal happiness, its only then that he is ready to let a female into his life.

Until then you are always going to play the background, be there when he's lonely or needs sex but the rest of the time you'll always be second to what his buddies want to do.

Most guys realize after college that the buddies are still awesome, but can't provide the nurturing companionship of a committed girlfriend and so they sacrafice much of the testosterone fueled hanging with the boys nights to spend time with someone that genuinly cares about them and realize its actually more fun that way.

If this guy is bossy, tells you what shoes to wear to make HIM look better...gets drunk and becomes abusive, wont put the xbox controller down long enough to hear about your day.... you wouldn't be losing a whole heck of a lot by walking away.
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.

      he's very cute.
My only issue w/ his looks is that he's about 3in shorter then me so I've had to give up my beloved heels lol.
Other then his few positives there tends to be alot of negatives.
he is an angry drunk and can get violent.
he is a cocky around his guy friends
      can't get a clear answer
all he does is play video games 24/7.
I get an hour of me and him time (not sex) each night b4 bed.
everyone I know is through him so I'd be completely alone.
I don't want to be w/ out a companion at this point in my life
I've always been the type to want to settle down.
love is turning into more of a friend love.
I've turned your post into a list, please read it.
So you don't want to be alone, think he's cute and have no friends of your own?
It sounds like his height is your concern, rather than his?

I'm probably older than your mother and I'm going to be a bit blunt (it's meant caringly - one of those for you own good things) This doesn't sound like love on either side, it sounds like co-dependency. A good relationship is inter-dependent. You are 22, you have lots of time to settle down. Don't settle to do it. You have lifetime ahead of you and believe me a few years with the wrong man is way longer than many years with the right one.

You both have some growing up to do. Some people can do it together but it sounds like the two you are just dragging each other down. Cut your losses, get out on your own, make your own friends, have some fun. If you stick with this it won't be settling down, it'll be settling into a rut.
