Absolutely. We are all individuals. Some of us can recognize a connection the moment its made, others... need more time for that connection to develop in order to let it sink in. Life experiences, history of being hurt, fear and other circumstances can cloud a persons awareness of the treasure they have found.
Unfortunately some don't notice what it was until its gone and they can't find it in another... and think back and say ahh...so that was love. Sad, really.
But I do think since everyone is their own person and ways to react to feelings its very possible for 2 people to be in love and one of them realises it before the other.
Its also possible for one to be in love and the other not so much, as loving someone doesn't lend it self to be entitled to having that love returned. Thats the magic and true treasure about love, its a gift.
I don't believe in fairy dust and cupids arrows and loving someone because you don't have the power not to... even if it feels that way sometimes. I think real love is a choice, a decision one makes to bestow their heart to someone worthy of it.
