I don't think 2 is old enough to be impressionable enough that he needs to go outside and knock first thing in the morning. I have a lot of respect for the way you are raising and intending to raise your daughter. You need to find the balance in respecting her, respecting your new man and letting yourself, allowing yourself to have a normal relationship.

6 months is not a one night stand. It's a relationship. I think its safe for you to start relaxing about his presence around your little one. Of course there is always the chance of attachments, but if you had a dear friend that was a girl and she came around and your little girl just adored her... and you and your dear friend fought and she didn't come around anymore -- she'd have to deal with that loss too... its life. Nothing is a sure thing.

I think 6 months shows its a lasting relationship and not something you should fear sharing with your daughter. If she we're a bit older, and you plan on preaching no sex before marriage then I could understand your need to conduct a covert operation... but she's too little to make the association of what it means by him being there in the morning. I don't know... at least I think.

Of course I would not think it right for different men to be popping around... but 6 months, if you want your relationship with him to grow further, its going to have to be less in the shadows and more inclusive with all the people you hold dearest.
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.
