This is a good sign right??

So the last few times we've hung out, the beau has said lots of things in passing about how "we should (fill in the blank)" Either buy a farm, or how he's going to learn to play piano so he can play for me 20 years from now, etc. We've also had a lot of talks about whether I want to have kids, where I see myself, what I feel like I need financially, etc.

From a guy perspective (or some of you intelligent ladies, as well), this is a good thing right? I mean, I feel like people don't make comments about things that permanent unless they don't see things ending anytime soon. But I wanted to make sure I wasn't reading too much into it because we know I do that (before Pretzel says something lol)

Just wanted to get some input because I don't remember the last time someone asked me things like that

    Ok, I won't.

Or maybe I've been here too long.

ha ha no not at all. I appreciate your advice. I just wanted to know if it does sound positive or if it just means he's making comments and asking questions and has nothing to do with whether he's actually thought about whether we could be together long term...

I feel like some of it is maybe things he and the soon to be ex never discussed and maybe he wants to find out earlier this time.

        Well, since you asked.

Deep down, what do you think?

Again, he has been nothing but positive in his comments and actions toward making this a long term relationship.

It seems to me that at every turn he is doing something that is moving this in the same direction that, by all appearances, you want to go also.

Why should this be any different?

There is going to have to be a point in time within yourself where your self doubt will get the better of you. I think it's time to put that doubt in the closet where it belongs.

That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

I know... I told him how I was feeling about him mostly because my therapist told me I should just do it... And he didn't run screaming which is good.

I know I have a lot of insecurities. A lot of that is my fault, but a lot of it is ingrained (sp?) in me from the last few people I've dated. I notoriously get to 3 months and then they're gone...eh, maybe a little less. So part of me does feel better and better about it the longer he's around.

I also thought it was good that he was discussing with me and didnt' seem worried about anything I said that I could tell. I think he's concerned at times over whether he is enough for me (I guess we all have our concerns), but I also guess he's trying not to make the same mistakes twice and I respect him immensely for talking things through with me.

I am not worried about some ultimate goal, I am just really enjoying having him around. However, I am an emotional person so I can't help but have my heart start to pitter patter a bit faster when he starts talking about things like that.

PS. I think it's positive since you asked. I just wanted reassurance that it was from other people outside of things.

Sure sounds positive to me. Don't read too much into it......take it for what it is, enjoy the words that are coming out of his mouth and the way those words make you feel. Sounds like he's enjoying the relationship and definitely wants to see where it goes!! I think it's great!

Thanks BD... I just get so stressed out sometimes And we're hitting the 3 month mark which is when a lot of people leave... It's like my "three month hump" so to speak... I guess that's kind of where most people decide whether it's going to stay/get more serious or whether to run for the hills... at least in my life...

If I can make it another month without incident hopefully I can start breathing again Thanks again for the positive words!
