He's a really nice guy and we got on quite well, had some long conversations etc, but I'm still not 100% over her, and it still hurts a lot, but its a step in the right direction

Met the guy
Ok, so yesterday was the acid test. I met up with my ex and her new lad, though I came over fairly hostile at first, I soon plucked up the courage to introduce myself.

Good for you. Sure does no one any good to be confrontational, but I sure understand that's easier said than done. Guess most of us have had to deal with this at some point or another. Sorry I havn't followed your threads, but, do you have kids w/ her? If so, that makes how you dealing with them (x and bfrnd) even more important. And remember, it's just as wierd/uncomfortable for them as for you

Be proud of yourself Anon. ALOT of people would not have the courage to do that. I did it once, but not on purpose. I saw my ex fiance standing with his father and another woman but had no idea it was his new gf, so I walked up to congratulate him on winning the "demolition derby" (yea...it's the country!!) and quickly realized that was her. My heart stopped I think. LOL. I would have not walked up to him had I realized it was her. That took alot of courage Anon and I think everyone here will agree, VERY proud of you.
You're gonna get past this, in your own time at your own pace. And then you're going to find someone even more perfect for you than she. She'll always be special to you, and that's perfectly ok.Comment
