At what point should you give up?
I've been with my boyfriend for just over a year. There's always been trust issues, mainly down to my insecurities. And things have got better but I'm just wondering if anyone has any thoughts about how long you should keep trying and working through things - surely eventually it's just not going to work if there's even the smallest lack of trust? -
Has he done anything to compromise your trust? If not this might be an issue that you should be working through with yourself, with his help of course. If he has does something to make you question how he feels for you... what steps has he taken to turn that around?
You have painted a picture of happiness but hard to offer any helpful advice without more information.Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.Comment

if he's given you reason not to trust him
then i think you should probably end it.
since it sounds like you have trust issues to begin with
its unlikely that you'd be able to truly forgive him and rebuild the trust.
if he hasnt done anything then the problem is with you
and you need to work through that by yourself.
i will say something which someone said to me once -
if you keep accusing people of things
eventually they will do them.
if he hasnt done anything then continually not trusting him is going to wear him down.
x'so why care for these petty obsessions? your designer heart still beats with common blood. and what if you could have genetic perfection? would you change who you are if you could?'Comment

I have trust issues too. And am working on that myself. There not fun and they can drive a relationship to the ground quickly. It's not your relationship that needs work it's you trust issues. Work on yourself. And message me sometime if you need anything. Were working on the same things maybe we can help each other out. Welcome to the site.
