Copying with saying goodbye over and over again :(

Hi, I just felt the need to vent, get advice, hear other people's stories. I just had my bf over for a week and he just left a few hours ago. I'm completely sad, lonely, and couldn't stop crying. It was torture today, saying goodbye three times and him ending up not having to leave yet cuz of the plane. I said goodbye again, and started bawling...they let me through the gate with a special pass for me to see my bf board the plane since he was in the military. Goodbyes never get easier and I've been doing this for two years already!

I feel like it gets harder, I'm just wondering why do I torture myself this way. I won't see him until December 27th which is so far away...I love him so much. When we're together everything is GREAT like old times...in long distance you can't touch, smell, just sit there and appreciate the company, do little things like play thumb war, argh. Going back home, the room is haunting me with our memories...it's so hard to have spend all my days with him and then poof he's gone again.

It'd be easier if I knew I'd see him sooner...I want so badly for us to be together for good and that might not happen for another couple of years after his deployment. I try to think this is only temporary but its hard when you say goodbye to someone you love so much.

I feel for you. A LDR can be difficult. I hope you talk to each other every day if possible. Crying is good as it gets the sadness out to some degree. Use the nervous energy from being apart to do something or learn something. Maybe take a class at a local college. It will also get you out of the house and interacting with others, which is good. School will be done before he gets back.
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.
    ...
Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

I lived the same twice, when we I have to say goodbye to my ex bf. We cried a lot in the airport. When I left him in the airport, I felt empty inside. I did not want to do anything, just counting the days to see him again.

I know it is very hard and the pain is horrible. However, be positive time flies. We are almost in the middle of September, then Halloween and finally you will realize that is 27 December and you will se him again. If you love him and you think that the sacrifice is worthy just carry on and keep positive with your relationship.
