2 more weeks to my wedding day

We'll be getting married on Nov 27, two weeks from today. We are both looking forward to it but it won't change our living conditions very much.

His brother and sister will be there but his mother decided not to attend. She wanted us to have a church wedding but because I'm a Buddhist and he is a christian, we didn't think it would be appropriate. My parents won't be there either, but my oldest sister will be. She is my bestest friend in the whole world and I'll be so glad to see her.

I talked to my GYN about taking something to skip my period but she didn't want me to do it. I've had problems with irregular and heavy periods in the past and she said she wouldn't recommend it. So I'll be in the middle of my period on my wedding day. It's not like we have been waiting to have sex, we've lived together for a while, but the idea of no sex on my wedding night makes me sad.

Do you have to get married on that day? CONGRATULATIONS by the way Is it possible to change it? Is your future husband aware that you will have your periods? If not talk to him.

I understand your GYN's point, as your periods will go out of wack and you may suffer a bit as a result on the next period but you know? If that was me? I would skip the period, the day you marry is the day you bond as one, two souls...

Congratulations chisaki! Whatever way things work out, that will still be the greatest day of your life. I'm sure that many others don't have sex on their wedding night as they are on a plane or otherwise in transit to their honeymoon. Make up for it by hugging and kissing and being intimate, just without the sex. If you were both up for it, I would say don't let your period interfere with what you want to do. Just use a lot of towels or pads if necessary.

I talked to him about it, he says it don't matter. He don't want me to worry about it but I cant help it. I feel like you said, it is our day to become sole mates. The date was set weeks ago, and all the arrangements are made including my sister coming from Hawaii to be with me. I'll just hope it will be one of those very light months. Since I can't have children, why do I have to have periods? They cause me nothing but pain and suffering and now this.

I know, I guess us women are emotional creates, we remember our childhood, the princess and want everything to be perfect that day....

You know what? It's entirely up to you ..... Only you know how important it is to you, it doesn't seem as important to your future husband, and that's because he loves you an therefore, you have to take that into consideration as well..

He still is your soul mate .... And, you can actually make a special night and plan it now if you want for that day to happen, after the wedding, what's important on the day is that you both become one

Your choices are, to plan a day after that you know your safe, skip the sugar pills or as JNS stated, go for it, it will actually strangely slow to not much at all when sex occurs...

You make sure YOU go with what you feel but please don't stress over it, because your future husband is OK with what ever happens he just wants you and again, I stress to you your SOULS become one anyone on that day....

I was only saying that I am also romantic, and soulful

But there is the other choice now to consider huh ...

I would have sex anyway! but that's just me. Having periods is completely natural and there nothing to be embarssed about having sex while on your period. Just lay a towel under you and it will be all good. Perhaps you could take a shower together afterwards, that would be a nice way to clean yourselves off.

We have decided to say vows privately, tomorrow. We will consider this our wedding day. The ceremony in 2 weeks will be just a legal formality.

I asked him to come up with a one-sentence vow; I have mine already. I'll use a quote from the Zen Nun Cheri Huber, whom I respect greatly. It goes like this: “I accept you exactly as you are and I will help you to become anything you want to be”.
