help my boyfriends mom is ruining our relationship
we have been dating for about 5 months. she was hesitant to met me. upon meeting her she was very cold. shook my had no eye contact or smile. then she started knda warming up to me, when i would come over i would seek her out and go say hi and give her a hug. kinda hugged back. then one day i went to give her a hug and she didnt even get up, it was way akward. ever since then she s still call him into the other room, and it seems like its when we r laughing or just enjoying ourselfs (like she listneing for it)> and when hes stay at my place she gives him a hard time like r u coming back i dont want to be alone. and when we go out to a movie or dinner she i us constantly calling and asking when is he coming back. hes 29 by way....she trets him like a child. recently she has been hospitalized because of extremly high blood pressure and has aked him that he not have anyone over but im the only one who ever comes over
i cant help but think she hates me and wants to keep him away from me. any thoughts?

She is probably lonely and thinks you might take her baby away.
Talk to your man and see if he thinks it would be a good idea for her to have a small pet to keep her company. It would help with her blood pressure.
Keep up with the physical contact you were using on her before she snubbed you however change it to quick pats or strokes on the shoulder though. Engage her by talking about her boys childhood and family history. You should have this interest in common.
You both need to remember that she could one day be a grandmother to your children.
Good luck with taming the dragon. -
He is 29 but how old are you? Is he college educated? Are you? Does he have a good job? Do you? As a mom of two grown men now these are some of the things moms look at. My oldest is a professional with a BS and he does not smoke or drink, is in the reserves and anyone he dates is going to be as educated and intelligent as he.
Same for my daughter. She is going to college and the boy she is dating already has his BA and has an excellent job. These are the things moms look at. We want our kids to have relationships with people of similar education and goals.Comment

That's not nearly as bad as my boyfriends mother, she refers to me as the devil and has made her whole side of the family hate me. She's a drunk meth head and I've actually had the police involved with her a few times, and that's not even the most of it. Thankfully shes in jail now and looking at going to prison, she's a horrible woman (to everyone, not just me) and without her around things have been so much nicer.Comment
