I have to agree with everyone else, get out now. Things will not get better, they will get worse. Do not take too much if it will slow you down. Items can be replaced.I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
From a speech by Patrick Henry on March 23, 1775 at St. John's Church, Richmond, Virginia -
Thanks JNS.
I did mean small items, Checkbooks, Car Titles, Passport,ETC..
And to make sure she changed all passwords, Bank & other info, if they have a Shared Computer and she had to leave it.. I also forgot to tell her to use the onscreen Keyboard to change Passwords ( if needed ) as the Keystrokes can't be brought back up if he has his own " security" on the Comp to Spy on her activities.
Also a Note to make sure you clear all History and Clear all Cookies, before you leaves ( if you has to leave a Shared Comp ).
And also Stop by Post office and Notify them that you are Moving, That day and to Hold all Mail .. Give a Parents address or even a General Delivery PO Box. Take all Phone, cable and any other bills out of your Name ( if they are In Yours )..
Notify Car or home loan, rental leases... Insurance.. Anything that is in your Name.
Any Joint accounts or just in Yours alone, can wreak Havoc and destroy your credit history for many years to come.
That is why I said it may take a couple of days. Leaving won't but protecting her finances and Identity can take a bit longer,..

FYI
You have LOTS of people to talk/chat with....most of us are right here in this forum.
I am also quite certain that you have someone near home to talk to as well...you may not realize it yet.
Like every other parent in here, I am not perfect, I have made mistakes raising my own children, I will make more mistakes during my lifetime.
There have been times when my own children felt as if they could not talk to me about whatever....they were incorrect. I will always listen. I may not agree, but I will always listen.
I would do ANYTHING to protect either of my children...and so will your parents.
No matter what has gone on in the past or may go on currently....there is no bond greater than that of a parent to a child.
It's time for you to go...home.Comment
