    Friend became friends with benefits

I am 19 years old, 5 years ago I did track with a girlfriend and there we met these two great guys. After track ended we lost touch. A little over a year ago one of them found me on facebook and we started hanging out. A couple of months after we reconnected we kissed, long story short of why- it was part of a bet that he had made a friend... Well we kissed a lot after that, and again the next time we saw eachother. After a couple of weeks we were fooled around, no sex, and afterward he told me that he cannot date me due to his religion teaching that mine is bad { yes I know for fact that it is true}, and then he apologizes profusely and said that he should have told me before. We talked and decided that maybe we could be almost friends with benefits just with no sex. I didn't so much care for the idea as I liked him more than just friends but I didn't want to lose him.

We acted like a couple, we would go out, he would hold my hand, and I would have an amazing time, the only thing missing was the actual relationship. When I would get a boyfriend we would respectfully stay away from eachother but then as soon as my relationships would end we would go back to doing what we were doing before.

I recently realized that I have fallen in love with him, but I don't want to tell him for fear of losing him. However, it is also preventing me from feeling things for other men.

Should I tell him? or is there a way that I can end this FWB without hurting our friendship? It is hard being around him and not holding his hand. I know he would understand if I told him I don't want to do it anymore, as he always makes sure that it is okay with me and tells me that it is up to me. He told me once that it could be too hard being around me if we just were friends, and I feel the same. help please

Assuming that he is also an adult, he has choices to make here. If he wants to make relationship decisions based on his religious beliefs, that is his choice. Does he know you have feelings for him? You need to let him know your feelings, be honest and tell him you want more, and if that isn't an option then you have to stop the FWB thing and just be friends. You can't keep doing what you're doing because you are setting yourself up to be very hurt, and he also needs to be mindful of your feelings if he has no intention of this going any further. If you can't be just friends and you can't have a relationship, then you must protect your heart and part ways. I know how hard that is to do, but you will continually be hurt if you stay in this situation with him. It's not fair to either of you.

Well no matter what religion you are, you don't have to agree with someone elses'. But what you should do is respect them. And in my honest opinion, it is worse of him to "act" like he's loving you vs "actually" loving you. Put religion aside and think about MORALS. Religion is about morals anyway, right??? Is it right for him to make you tag around like a little puppy if nothing serious is actually gonna happen? Think about it deeply. That kind of makes him a player. No matter how you want to describe it. Whatever the reasons may be, he is playing you.
He has you wrapped around his finger and you've fallen for a guy who "can't" marry you. Don't you think this "fooling around" is just as bad as marriage. It's pure bull****.
You are only going to continue to get hurt. I thought religion is supposed to be about "love".
Sorry if I sounds harsh. I just get pretty irritated when boys mess with ladies like that.
May I ask what religion he is? And what is yours? I'm quite curious.
