Please provide us some more background. What country are you from? How old are you? Have you ever had any friends? Do you have cousins and family that are friends? Do you know the man you are about to marry? Can you go on dates with him? are you living by yourself?Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose - Kris Kristofferson and Fred Foster (sung by Janis Joplin) -
.im geting to marry within 3 months and going to states
That's enough to set anxiety off
Sweetness, you can do anything you put your mind to.
You've tried but your not sure how to do it best.
I know you may not have much internet access, but yes, please tell us more about you so we can help you "change" your life ...
Dress sense is about individuality don't ever let anyone tell you anything in-different.
Are you marrying someone you love? Or arranged? If you love him, then he chose you for who you are and together you will make friends in the big city.
Don't worry about your mind growing, the more you read, read, read, the more you will grow.
We hope you come back and read both posts and talk to us further.

Moving to somewhere else can be intimidating. Especially if you will feel somewhat isolated where you are going. I am originally from a small town and went to a small city for college. In between my first and second year of college, I worked in what was the second largest city in the USA with other college students. Then, at the end of college, I moved solo 2500 miles (4000 km) across the country to Los Angeles. I know the challenges of moving from a rural place to the city. If you want to be comfortable where you are, you have to make an effort to meet people and fit in.
When you get to your new home, resolve to start making friends. Maybe your husband has friends that have wives in similar situations. Try to socialize with them, hopefully with your husbands encouragement. Go to church or other religious functions. Maybe volunteer there. Make sure you go out shopping with your husband. If the foods are different, learn what they are and how to make good meals with them. Learn what you can buy at the nearby market. As you get out more, you will interact with other people and possibly build friendships.I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.
...
Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
From a speech by Patrick Henry on March 23, 1775 at St. John's Church, Richmond, VirginiaComment
