i am insane
I have been acting basically crazy for the past 2 weeks. Any little thing sets me off but its only my boyfriend. Everything he does and says drives me crazy. If you have read any of my past posts we have had our ups and downs and part of me feels like I resent him so much and have been trying to keep everything in the past and move on that now its just exploding. I feel bad but I just don't know if I can move on from the past. I keep thinking it would be so much easier to leave and be single. It just has come out of nowhere though so I am sure he thinks I'm a lunatic. I just really needed to vent, thank you for your time. -
Oh god, this is literally me in my relationship right now. I have very low temper, and when my boyfriend bothers me or does something to **** me off I go insane, I start screaming at the top of my lungs and I sometimes hit him, I feel like he mocks me and in my relationship, if I ever feel any sort of disrespect it sets me off. I guess we just need to learn to control ourselfs, and our anger, and be calm.:/ it's hard because we're so easily bothered, we we need to really try.I have been acting basically crazy for the past 2 weeks. I have just read through your previous posts regarding your relationship, and all it's other situations you've come here for help with in the past. I don't know how much help I'll be, & I realise you posted this particular message weeks ago but I thought I'd put it out there. I can't use my relationship as much of an example, because I literally have the best most healthy one in the world, and I know that's very rare. So I'll just exclude my own experiences from this message and give you my opinion: It seems that.. I've just read, a lot, of posts about problems and negative things in your relationship. Clearly you've been with him for years - which I think is really cool, shows how dedicated you are to your boyfriend. But like you say, trust is really important to you, and to be honest it just doesn't seem right, that you have to go through all these moments of doubt and fear, paranoia etc. I know people have arguments and issues and you can't avoid them all, but I don't think you should have as many as you have. I'm very strong on the importance of communication and honesty too, it looks like you have tried to communicate in the past and he has shut you down quite a lot, so I won't tell you to go and sit him down and talk it out, you've probably considered that already. If you haven't done that yet I suggest it, and I also suggest that you make sure you feel strong and in control when you ask him to talk. Do not take no for answer, if he tells you, you're just looking for an argument then you tell him no, just a peaceful discussion. Make sure you don't raise your voice, and make sure you look him in the eyes. Really try to talk it out and get a response that is helpful.
Through all your posts the main subject has been trust. Having trust for someone naturally grows on you, I don't know if you've had a relationship in the past that has damaged your ability to trust or if it's purely this relationship and how he's been behaving, but it's pretty clear you are having trouble with that side of things. If you're not happy deep down, what is the point? You're going to have phases where you're not happy on the surface, but if you're feeling unloved and upset deep down with how things are, you really need to assess what you want. Ask yourself what you really want if you truly think you'll get it here. I believe in the idea that no one can ever make you feel something, sad, happy, or angry. I think you're completely in control of your emotions, just that it is harder for some people to grasp that control. You've got to look at it like it is, just an emotion. Accept that this temper you've had for the past few weeks is there, don't look for reasons just know it's there. & then talk it out. With him? With a professional. With a trustworthy friend... Lol maybe with your cat or your bedroom wall
just talk it out. Many people find that just by venting and letting it all out, things become so much clearer. You might find your answer there.
