    Need Help

Alright fellow ladies, I need your help on a sensitive topic. The other day my 28 year old male roommate walked into the condo we share, with 2 other female roommates, while I was masturbating. I thought the condo was empty and my two other roommates were on different business trips. My bedroom door was wide open and there I was spread across the top of my bed mid-orgasm when my male roommate walked into my room. Luckily he was alone and respectfully turned around while I covered up.

I was blushing and embarrassed like I have never been before. I was afraid he would text his friends and tell his buddies about me. I was extremely frightened that I could not show my face in public again, especiallly around his friends. I lucked out that he is a classy guy and so far has done the right thing.

Anyways, later on that night when the two of us were talking while eating dinner in the den, he asked me, "What do you think about when you masturbate? What goes through your mind?" All of a sudden I went blank and didn't know how to answer. I couldn't think, I just froze. I ran off to my bedroom and slammed the door. He and I have not talked since then, nor have we seen each other.

I want to be honest with him, but I don't know how to respond. I think about many different things while masturbating and several different emotions run freely through my mind. Fellow ladies, what is the best way to answer this??

    Many thanks.

It almost sounds like you were inviting such a situation by leaving the door open. Have you determined why you did it?

His question is a bit forward. You did not say he was a friend. Is he? You could always ask him not to ask any questions about what he saw. On the other hand, he may think he has an allowance to ask questions he wouldn't have otherwise due to what he saw. He is now sure you masturbate. He most likely masturbates. Maybe he feels a connection about this.

His question is an interesting one. I tend to fixate on something, usually a visual image. Somewhat typical as a guy. I also do this during sex. By doing that, I go through the same thought again and again, much like using the same motion to get the same physical sensation. Visual images don't have to be something that screams sex, sometimes they are about the shape of something, like a shoulder or stomach or even something like skin pigmentation.

You don't have to answer him. You could say you are embarrassed or shy. If you decide to answer, you will have determined it is an innocent enough of a question or maybe something about him excites you. If it is considered an innocent question, you and he could get into conversations about a typical man's point of view on intimate subjects vs a woman's point of view on the same things.

jns, I have discovered why I did it. I love the freedom I feel, as a woman, walking around in the privacy of my own bedroom naked. There is nothing more exhilerating than just being me and the freedom that comes with that feeling. I thought nobody was home, or I would hear the door open if someone came home, so it didn't occur to me to shut my door. I have known the male roommate for a few years now and he is a great guy. I do not find him sexually attractive at all. He is just a guy friend that I met at church, in a singles class, one year and we developed a friendship. That brings up another interesting point that I hadn't previously thought of. We have many mutual friends, both male and female, at church and I wonder if he is going to share any of this information with any of them - male or female.

Hopefully we can get into conversations about a typical man's point of view on intimate subjects vs. a woman's point of view on the same things, like you mentioned. I have always wondered what he does when he brings various women to our condo. I have seen a few women come home with him and not leave until the next morning. I can only assume they had sex. However, I often get confused because the majority of women that he brings home and "sleeps" with are never seen at our place again.

I know that I, a woman, masturbate, but am not sure if any other women masturbate. I have heard stories about guys masturbating, but don't have any first hand knowledge of if they do or not. The majority of my girlfriends do not talk about masturbation so I am afraid to mention that I do it, because I worry that I am the only woman who masturbates.

Its fun not having restrictive clothes on or having a very few. Having a guy around probably makes all of you ladies a little bit anxious that something or other is sticking out. Having a time to be free probably heightens your libido. Having the door open probably was an extension of that idea.

Of the girls he brings to the condo, he is probably finding out what he likes about each one. He doesn't sound committed, but neither do any of them.

Most guys masturbate if they are not getting sex often enough. Some guys do it even if they're getting sex quite often. A lower percentage of women masturbate, but that doesn't mean that very few do. Again, since it is not something talked about, few know if their friends do it.

You don't have to answer the question. Its possible that he thought you let yourself get caught on purpose. You can just let him know that it really was an accident and you'd prefer not to talk about it. For most guys seeing a women masturbating is a huge turn-on, so maybe he's hoping it was intentional.
