    Ex Therapy

Ever had that feeling that there's something left unsaid with your exes? We spend so much time with them, we know intimate details down to what they have for breakfast almost every day, the first thing we think to do when anything significant happens in our lives is call and tell them ...and then we turn around and they're gone and sometimes we don't even know if they're living or dead anymore unless we Facebook stalk them. Sometimes that makes me feel like there should be a debriefing at the end of every relationship so that everyone can get it out of their system, but it doesn't usually work out that way.

Here are the rules. Pick as many exes from your past as you like, boyfriends or husbands (or girlfriends or wives lol), one or fifty, doesn't matter. You get to say one sentence to each of them (without worrying that they'll actually see it lol, so be frank and make it count).

I have quite a few exes, but I picked five. Here they are.

previous boyfriend from my early 30s ...I'm glad you're happy now.

girlfriend from my late 20s ...I'm sorry I hurt you.

girlfriend from my mid 20s ...we had some fun didn't we.

first real girlfriend from my early 20s ...I still care for you.

first boyfriend from my late teens ...I can't see you anymore.

That's it! Now I feel so much better.

    I like this post jen.

Ex-husband: I'm sorry we hurt each other beyond repair. I loved you then and always will.

He's really the only one. Can I expand it to someone who passed away before I could share my thoughts?

To my childhood friend: I had a huge crush on you always, and I regretted not going out with you the time you asked when we were 17.

Gah!!!...somehow I don't feel better after that! Lol

kitty, you can get away with anything so no limit for you.

I actually didn't feel so great when I said those things either, but I think it does help in the big picture sense. These emotions we pent up over time don't just go away with a magic word, but saying the words does help them on their long journey of eventually being 'okay,' if not going away.

Your message to your friend is very sweet. Tears .... f^ck!

I wonder if I'm cold and heartless because I really left nothing unsaid with anyone else...Lol

I would need a book to write the things I left un-said to my ex. I'm not sure he would have understood half though, alcohol clouds the mind to that extent, plus he was an egocentric jerk that thought he was god's gift to the world and couldn't "understand" why other people couldn't see how great he was. I could go on but I won't...he just isn't worth it.
That which we forget may as well never really happened.

Depends on if you wrecked them in the process, I suppose. Tho I don't think you do cold and heartless too well.

I think that's the dictionary definition for egomania, lol.
