Is he planning to cheat on me...?
My boyfriend and I have been together for 6 months. We're long distance, I see him every other week. When we're together he always compliments me, gives me kisses, cuddles me, he texts me everyday. He's told me he loves me, I have not said it back because I'm not ready, so he knows he likes me more than I like him. He recently bought me an expensive christmas gift since I won't be around then. However, I was snooping the other day and found a reciept for lingerie that is not my size. I'm petite so its not like it could be a mistake. I didn't find anything else while snooping. I am confused. Please help -
Have you had a serious discussion about what the relationship actually IS-whether it's committed, open, casual or exactly WHAT? All those things you mentioned are great, but that doesn't constitute a committed relationship in my mind.
6 months really isn't a long time, unless you're a teen-ager.
LDR's are difficult enough, and without clear-cut, complete expectations, there's a lot of room for things to be missed in lack of communication & bonding with one another. That can only come, in my opinion, through time spent in each other's company.
As far as the size of the item, that's no indicator in itself. Men generally have no good sense of that on their own & usually don't think ahead enough to peek at our stuff when it's tucked in a bag or lying around. My husband of many years couldn't get my size right-even if I told him, he couldn't get it right! -
I guess that's what you get for snooping.
Why not just ask him? Or was this receipt so far down that it would make you look worse for finding it than him for having it?
Bottom line is you don't know much at this point hon, so anything in your head is pretty much just speculation. Speculation drives us crazy and just feeds off itself, so put an end to that and get an answer - from him.

He's told you he loves you, you have not said you love him. Might he understand that means that you do not think this is a committed relationship? Is it reasonable to expect it to be committed if you can't say that you love him, or should he look for someone who can?
(not wanting to be mean, but loving someone and not having them love you back is a very sad state to be in).Comment
