I'm in a phenomenal relationship where his friends are just as phenomenal as he is. Because of this I could never imagine leaving him. However, there is a small part of me that wants to connect with one of my ex's female friends. She was a very nice woman where I could see a friendship form. I want to catch up with her without talking about my ex. Is this the right thing to do? If so, how should I approach it?

When you say connect, are you meaning platonic or relationship wise? Just because you're not with your ex anymore doesn't mean you can't still talk to his friends. Meet up with her over coffee or a drink some day/night. Just ask her if she wants to hang out some time or go shopping or grab lunch.[FONT=System]~Catwoman~[/FONT] -
Strictly platonic. It's something that I think about once in a while. I think more about hanging with my current boyfriend's female friends than her, but it would be nice to connect.Comment

I don't think there's anything really wrong with it. It's not like your ex has any authority there. Just do like you say and tell her you're not really there to gossip about the ex.
