Kate, dating can be exhausting. Don't feel any sort of wrong for feeling or thinking that. It isn't easy.
Are you happy being alone for now?
There's nothing wrong with staying single. I don't know if you feel any sort of pressure from family or social circles or from society to be in a relationship. If you do, don't succumb to that. Do what's right for you and your child.
I think if you're frustrated to the point of screaming, it's probably time to take a break from it.
Don't get me wrong though, relationships are great. While my marriage was healthy, it was a beautiful thing. Finding the right person to share our life with is a special process in life. Take it slow and enjoy the journey my dear

My life being married to my beautiful and wonderful wife. It has been the best for almost 27 years together. I would not change it for anything in the world. When out driving always turn left. Then, should you become lost, you can find your way home by reversing the procedure and always turning right.Comment

Claret gave some sound advice.
Think about the criteria you currently use to select men. Then think about the qualities you want in a relationship. Sometimes, when women are young, they go for the great looking dangerous guys -- cool for a date but not for a long term relationship. Maybe you need to change your idea of your ideal man. Rely less on chemistry and more on qualities.
Claret was right -- you are the person in common with the men that s****t on you. You have the opportunity to change all of that by learning more about yourself -- how your needs and wants have changed since your child was born. There are lots of good men out there. Don't give up."The only consistent feature of all of your dissatisfying relationships is you." Despair.com "Dysfunction"Comment

As from now I no longer have an ideal man. I think I will openly be in an open relationship where I will even mention to the other person that I have no intention of building a relationship. In that way my heart will belong to me (if you catch my drift)Claret gave some sound advice.
