Why do I keep having anxiety, fear and sadness over my new relationship?
As I have stated in another post called In love and confused. I just wish I knew why I have sometimes fears and sadness. I have never felt this way with anyone else in my whole life. IS it fear of commitment? Of us not working out? Of wasting my time? If you want to know more please read the other thread. -
It seems to me that your BF evokes strong emotions in you, some good and some bad. Every relationship has issues and this one may have more than most. You are at the cusp of falling in love and thinking about him as a lifelong partner . . . however, rather than being certain that he the the ONE, you fear that he is not for you (which may be the reason for sadness). He is also a good guy, so if you are thinking of breaking it off, I am sure there are conflicting emotions as to how he will react.
In the end, marriage is a huge step. It is difficult enough when both partners are without doubt and deeply committed. Whether or not it hurts him, you need to be certain that you will be there forever and that you can handle his personality issues. Your relationship is only 4 months old and you can give it time to develop more answers.
No relationship is a complete waste of time. Each one teaches ourselves more about us, our needs and what we need on a future relationship. It took me a very long time to lean these life lessons. Best of luck to you both."The only consistent feature of all of your dissatisfying relationships is you." Despair.com "Dysfunction"
