    Young realtionships.

    Hey all.
This is more of a story than a problem, Id just like to share and hear about other young realationships.

Well to start off we are both 17. We have been dating for 3 years now.
Although we do not see each other alot because we both work many hours everything works out cool.
I think for our age we have a very mature and happy realationship.
Every time we have a problem we talk about it and have gotten through the jelousy stage and many other things.
We know each other well, trust and are comfortable around each other.
8 months ago we finally commited to our sexual realationship. [We have had an oral realationship for much longer].
We do say 'I love you' but I'm not soppy or clingy at all.
He seems to like it when I do get sentimental but its usually hen he has provoked it.

I am moving an hour or so away for college in September.
He says we don't have to break up but all my friends [alot older] say that we should split because I'll be meeting alot of new people.
I wish I had met my man later on in life because I know he's someone I could stay with, but this young I'm not sure about it.

I'm taking everything as it comes.
Im quite a spiritual and optimistic person and think of it that whatever is going to happen will happen.

Sorry for rambeling on, thanks for reading and I hope to hear some storys of other young people in serious realationships.

You you don't want to split up then don't. You may find that in 6 months time that you've changed a lot and want to meet others or you may not. Don't let your friends decide for you, just relax and see what happens.

      Thanks for the reply.

My guy has reassured me he'll visit alot and I'll stay at his if I come up here to visit.

Can a serious realationship so young last though?

I'm only 18 and have been dating my boyfriend since I was 16 (a little over a year and a few months - somewhere around there) and I love him to death and wish the same thing - that I'd met him later in life. It is not that I don't want to be with him, it's that I'm scared I'm going to regret not going out and having fun and enjoying my youth. I'm not saying that I want to go out and sleep with a bunch of people, but the whole commiting to someone so young scares me. I dont want anyone else, but I want to enjoy being young. Thanks for sharing your story, it made me feel a little less worried about how I feel. I hope that everything works out good for you, wheter you stay with your boyfriend or not.

In all honesty? Those three ingredients right there will get you through everything...

Communication is "the" key to a successful relationship, trust, bond, comfortability and the taking the time to know each other "inside" the soul gives grounds for a fantastic relationship that is deep, spritual and warm.

Finding that again will be much harder than worrying about if it will work or not.

Keep those ingredients going and you'll last way past College.
