Need advice on Egyptian man
I have an egyptian boyfriend, we're actually engaged to be married. About a month ago, his father became ill, and my boyfriend suddenly quit his job and me to go be at his father's side day and night. I know I would feel awful if God forbid something happened to one of my parents, but I wouldn't stop living my life, and they wouldn't expect me to. I send him supportive messages via text and email , but he usually doesn't answer them, and when he does, it's just to say that he is okay, doesn't mention his father or ask about me. His family doesn't approve of me because I am american. I have been thinking about telling him goodbye, but at the same time I feel guilty because of his father. He said he doesn't care about his job or anything else, just his father. Help! What should I do?

What he is showing you now is whom he is.
When a time like this should be a time to be close to all of those you love, for support he is shunning you away, because you can't be there, as his Father doesn't approve.
His family rule over his relationships.. But, the fact that he doesn't even express and connect via internet or mobile phone, in appreciation that you are there for him, is what concerns me more...
Sometimes "un-said" words are the best... Stop connecting ....
You deserve to be "respected" as his Fiancee and not ignored and if he can't see that, then dis-connect the communication, see what happens.
But, remember, what you are seeing is what you will always get, 10 years from now...
People show their true colours sometimes we have to see them and "really see them" and ask if this is what we want out of life, before taking further steps....

But if you never heard from him again, then was he worth it?
Would that be the type of man you would want to spend the rest of your life with?
Maybe they are correct... He is not showing you any form of connection at all...
It's hard, off course and I recall the earlier posts of yours but you deserve to receive in life when you give, not expect it, but it happen because you both are in-sinc...
That is what bonded relationships are all about.
