I really don't want to believe in once a cheater always a cheater. I want to believe that each individual human being is capable of creating a new path for their life and improving on their character. It sounds like that is what your man is doing. Good luck you both !

Glad to hear you're making it work Missy. You are a stronger woman than I am for sticking it out. I'm happy for the good news. Have you delivered yet? Thanks for coming back and giving an update!!

Another chance
Hi Missy, I am Messy and I, like you, gave my husband another chance.-- 20 years ago!! and we are still together. it has not always been easy (still very hard at times) and I will admit, even though I have forgiven him I will ever truely trust him again and this realization is what has helped both of us. to expect to FULLY trust again is almost impossible. I also found it helped to realize that nobdy has a perfect marriage/life and that we make the most of what we do have. I know you will go through some doubtful times and wonder what things would have been like had you have left but if you can work this out and both put in the effort to keep it all together it is well and truely worth it. Good luck

I so know how you feel I was 6 months pregnant with our first child when m partner done the same thing to me he cheated with a younger skinnier girl, i only found out because of the txting at 3am in the morning and this paticular morning he had come home drunk and i couldnt sleep the phone went off and well it went from there, this happened nearly 6 years ago and since then we are still together and have another 2 childen it is still hard for me even now the trust has had to be rebult but to be honest i have issues with it still. it is very hard and the only thing that keeps me together is i know he will not do it again he loves his children and would not want to risk losing them which would happen if he was to cheat again, you have two options you can forgive and hope that it will never happen again and try to move on or you can leave and build you a life with the children i choose to stay and im glad but i know with some people this it not always the right choice.Comment

yes i had the baby he is 6 months old now. it has been very hard for me to deal with this but i love my husband and i know he is a good man. he has done everything possible to help me through this and show me that he loves me and he wants to make it work. as for the trust thing he knows that it will take awhile for me to feel like i can even a little bit but he is being so good about everything he calls me all the time and gives me the phone and the passwords to it and his email. the only reason i stayed was because i saw something in him that i never got to see before and for that our relationship has never been better. i am bipolar so when this happened i thought i was going to die i went into a severe depression and the only thing that got me through it was that i didnt want my kids to see me like that they mean everything to me. thank you so much for all your input. i think my decision to stay was the right thing to do, granted there still is that thought of what if i did leave him when it happened what would i be doing right now but then i think i would be without him and things are so good.Comment
