What kind of men do women really want?

I have been reading a thread about the two things that men want from women, which made me to think about : What kind of men do women really want?

Tell me you ideas here...I have read an interesting idea about this (Steve Harvey). It said, and I quote, " the only way a woman can truly be completely satisfied is to get herself four different men - an old one, an ugly one, a Mandingo, and a gay guy." The four combined into one person - we women are covered. Why?

    1. The old man (financial security) - sits around the house with you, spends his pension check on you, hug you, hold you, give you comfort, and won't expect any sex from you because he can't "get it up" anyway...lol.

    2. The ugly one (gives you all the attention you seek) - whatever you need - run you down the grocery store, wash your car, babysit your cat - he'll provide because he's happy someone as beautiful as you is paying him any kind of attention.

    3. The Mandingo man (sex) - he's big, he's not necessarily that smart, but he's got the yummy physique - that's all you want from him, and he makes sure he gives it to you real good - mind blowing sex!

    4. The gay guy (gossip-mate) - someone you can go shopping with, who doesn't want anything from you but gossip and details about what the old man bought you, which errands you sent the ugly guy to take care of, and exactly how Mandingo had you doing monkey flips for a week...all the conversation you need.

Now...guys and gals, what have you to say?

I don't really buy into the idea of a man telling women what they want. All he can tell you is what HE Thinks we want and we've already had centuries of that. Look where that got us.

Sure, why not! And if we have that rolled into one - we won't be happy anyway - he's not a real MAN after all, don't you think?

I'd like a man that is:

        1. Financially stable
        2. Has no baggage
        3. Has no drama
        4. Likes to have fun
        5. Is spontaneous
        6. Has goals in life
        7. Has a heart
        8. Is independent
        9. Isn't a momm's boy.
        10. Is social and enjoys hanging out with friends or alone.

I don't know who wrote the book, often times things with celebs names had a ghost writer. Every woman is different, every man is different. While it is possible to make some generalisations, we'll find lots of exceptions. Women need to get better at deciding for themselves what they want, we've had generations of fathers deciding who we marry, husbands deciding how and where we live and what we get, many still do that. I know several women who if you want to really get something into their heads you have to ask a man to say it to them or they don't listen. I mean really, you can tell them something and they totally blow it off. You get some guy to say to them, word for word what you said, and WOW, he's an f'ing genius. All you can do is either laugh or beat your head against the wall.

As a general thing, if men put half as much energy into understanding women as women do into trying to figure out men, we'd be in better shape. Do you see any men lining up to buy books written by women that tell them what they want in a woman and how they should act?

Lucky enough, WC, my fiance is doing that - one reason why I accepted his proposal. He reads books and listens to interviews that are geared towards having him understand women. I am seeing dramatic changes in his ways (which I hope to be consistent)...and on my part, I have been doing that also for the last two months of our break.

Like you said, I am growing and exploring, and so is he. Now, we've decided to do all of these explorations together, for better or for worse.

Oh, it's about Rori Ray, David DeAngelo, David Deida books and audios. We also read a lot about Buddhist principles/meditation...mostly by Pema Chodron and Deepak Chopra.

We are a couple who find reading, music and weird movies like Monty Python films, Miyazaki, Fawlty Towers, Dr. Who, etc...amusing. We share a lot of stuff that we engage into when we're apart. When we get back together, our conversations are interesting, "even in bed" (*winks)...
