    Perhaps something in between?

Like having him in the waiting room to see his child right away, but not in the birthing room. Everyone is right - during delivery you need to focus on you. But you might regret not having him somewhere. And if in a period of drugged labor you want him there (emotions are strange during delivery), he's not too far away for you to change your mind.

He will be part of his baby's life, so you should try to take the high road. Which I know is hard, but you might never be able to turn back from there.

      I totally Understand

My due date is in 10 weeks and although, that I am aware of, my husband has not cheated he has also not been the most supportive person in the world during this pregnancy. I can't even count how many times he has made me cry over the things he has done to me, but I do know deep down if he were to cheat and I had evidence of it or he admitted to it I would probably still allow him in the delivery room with me. What I do after that would be a different question. I have always told my husband, and for some reason I think he thinks this way, that just because we are bringing a life into this world together does not mean we will be together forever. He has done some pretty awful things and like everyone else has said as hard as it is try to do what is best for you and the baby.

A lot of people here have been saying he has the right to see his child born, but I kindof disagree. SHE is going to be the one in tremendous pain, scared, etc. If you have ever given birth before, you would know that it is the most overwhelmingly hard, emotional, and exhausting thing you will ever do. Her state is the one that should be the most important, NOT his. And if he will upset her during labor, then he should not be there.

I have given birth with my 2nd child without the ex-husband by my side, but my youngest brother. We had our issues then, and not having him around then did me well.

Now, don't get me wrong. He still took part raising our child, we worked out the marriage, but it came to a point that I can no longer do what he wanted me to do, so the rest is history - (totally different from the OP's problem)
