    divorcée problems

I'm a guy and I'm facing the same issue. My girlfriend has been married before and her husband has been very abusive. Her heart is so wounded and I'm trying my best to heal her and make her feel good. I'm so concerned about her health.

She also said that she has been forced to marry him and now regret. Now she is with her parents and still trying to get the divorce.

Sometimes I too get hurt about her past and think that she used to love someone else before and married. I have not been in a serious relationship before and never married. She is 4 months elder to me. Today I went to a psychotherapist to get help on this.

I really love her and care about her. I'm shocked about how much she has lost self confidence and care of herself over this matter. I'm trying to make her feel that she is important and precious to me. She is developing an eating disorder. I also need help on putting her back on track. She used to be talkative and now becoming more and more silent. I'm planning to go with her to the psychotherapist by next month.

I'm so sad that she feel bad about the past relationship. I don't want to hurt her wounds, but I thought discussing the things once in detail and forgetting the past would help. But still we didn't get privacy on her side to discuss that over the phone. What is your suggestion about talking about her past relationship once in detail and forgetting it for ever, will that work..

It's hard because you want to be that "knight" in shining armour but being abused and not being able to Divorce living with her Mother, re-building trust in someone and obviously only being able to speak with her by telephone makes it all the more harder.

I gather that it was somewhat of an arranged marriage? Through her family? Will her family let you in? Can she Divorce? Or even have a relationship with you whilst she is still technically married?

She may feel that her hands are tied and that she cannot do anything.

If you can share a little bit more then maybe we can find some thoughts to help.
