    Moving abroad but...

Hi to you all, I'm new to this.

So basically last year in June I got married to my husband. I live in London, living with my loving parents and siblings. My husband is from Canada. I'll be moving to Canada and living with his family. Due to paperwork I am still in London. The paperwork are on there way to be done, so I plan to go in May. It's all very hard for me right now as I'm very close to my family but I do love my husband. Moving in with his family and settling down in a new country, making new friends, job hunting and making sure I keep everyone happy. Really getting to me a lot, I forgot all about the things that come with marriage and moving. All I saw in my husband was love. I do tell my husband I wish he was here to give me support as I know I will be very emotional saying bye to my family at the airport and getting to Canada immigrations is making me very nervous as I got to do this by myself. I'm not as strong as he thinks I am.
I tell him about my sleepless nights, thinking of all the things I got to do, but I don't get the response I want to hear or sometimes he ignores what I say. I don't think he understand how I'm feeling about all this. Sometimes I wish he would say don't worry I'll be there for you, but I don't even hear that.
When I get to Canada I would need a friend a least to help me out but I don't know if his going to be there for me. I want to make girl friends at least I can talk to them about things as I don't know anyone else there apart from my cousin brother and his wife but they are always busy. I don't know I just feel really sad and confused and worried and fancied expressing myself on here that understands me on here. Anyone from Canada Vancouver? Would be great to hear from you? Or in the same boat as me

Other thing is, after we got married in June I stayed in Canada for 3 months, so I got to know him a bit more. I found out that his very close to his mum and talks to her about everything. His dad is very demanding at what things need to be done, him and my husband argue most days. This caused us to argue and we argued about silly little things, which is normal for relationships. If he wants to go out anywhere he would ask his mum when to go and where to go. Which is annoying for any married women, shouldn't he be asking me? I get sensitive and moody about stuff like that...sorry to say but I'm typical Cancerian...seriously wish I was much stronger and had confidence!

Moving to a new country is difficult and takes courage. It is also a wonderful and exciting thing to do with your life. Vancouver is very nice, I think you will like it.

This probably isn't the best place to contact people to meet in person - most here are posting anonymously.

Thanks for replying! It will be a new chapter in my life! I don't wish to meet people in person. It would be nice to just chat with people from Vancouver and get a taste of what their life is like over there.
