Help , hubby does not support me
ok, I will try to make this short but I am having some major issues. I have been married for 3 years. My hubby is getting a graduate degree. For the first year I lived with him and tried to find a job. I couldn't because of the really bad economy. So i went back to school. I thought it would be a good thing. I got an assiatanship to go back and it almost doubled our monthly income. The only bad thing is I have to leave in another state. I get to come home on the weekends but it has been really hard. It has now gotten to the point that he is mad at me for wanting to stay in school. I am mainly doing it for the money and when I am done with school we can have the kind of life we want. If the economy was better I would not be in school, I would be working.

In my view, he is being selfish. Yes LDR is hard, but if you are saving the money and working to better yourself, so you two will have more options in the future, I hardly see it as selfish. Are you communicating as close to daily as you can? Are you spending enough time saying sweet things to each other? Do you describe what you will do to the other when you are together again? The job market is rough, but it will turn around. The largest rewards will go to those who prepare for that day. Staying in school at the present time is smart. Amongst other things, it keeps some loans from coming due.I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
From a speech by Patrick Henry on March 23, 1775 at St. John's Church, Richmond, Virginia
