I'm really starting to feel like throwing up my hands, and walking away from my marriage. I shouldn't have to continue to fight for my marriage when no one else is fighting for it. Am I going over the top? This is killing me.

I pray that I learn from my MIL mistakes what not to do when I have a daughter-in-law and son-in-law..

Don't give up quite yet. I saw that you and your MIL went to counseling...but what about just counseling for you and your hubby? My MIL was giving my husband and I issues, and while I admit they weren't as bad as what you are going through, we did find ourselves in a pretty bad situation and constantly arguing over it. Counseling helped a lot. We both see eye to eye on his mother most of the time now and our lives have actually leveled out a bit because we are both handling it better.

If your husband refuses counseling or doesn't want to change, then perhaps it is time to take a break. Maybe take the kids for a month or two, and move back home temporarily or just out of the house you share with him. Give him a chance to see what he is missing. Often couples forget that when they get married, they have a new immediate family. That new immediate family comes first always. He didn't get to choose his mom, he did choose you though. Personal choice should always come before what you were forced into.
