I have talked to both his parents and they don't seem to realize them splitting is one of the reasons he left me... I know his parents splitting is what finally made him decide to leave.... We have talked about all our problems we had and have told each other what could be done differently but it always comes back to him saying it will never work out... He is just taking me around in circles and confusing me more and more everytime we talk.... I just feel helpless in all this.

Well, then they are seeing it as "that's why he left you" why would they care ? Meaning, they left each other, they are not hearing, or haven't heard that it has affected HIM, he feels abandonment, he is not sure where he is at...

And, do they know what road he has taken? Take out you in this, that is what I was trying to get at, they need to see "their son" any normal parent would panic if their son needed them, but they won't necessarily care if he left his partner, that's their problem not "theirs".... Do you know what I mean?

If you both have problems, can see changes, but not believe those changes, why? That's suggesting there are issues and those issues he doesn't believe can be solved, there is more to this...

Is he feeling stifled, your a Mother to him, non laughter together, just living...

Really review this because I know you want it to work for you... There are two sides to every story... And working together, does guarantee success, not against each other....

Sometimes, help starts with really seeing...

I was saying i have talked to his parents about helping him.... They don't feel like its their place because he is an adult and needs to make his own decisions.... (They aren't the best parents when it comes to this kind of stuff.)

You guys may be young....but you're adults. You're acting like one. You're taking responsibility for your choices, you're standing by your word, you're raising your alls child etc. He is not acting like one. While I know that things that happen in our lives most certainly affect us, I do not believe that when you're an adult you reserve the right to blame others for your actions. In a sense, it justifies and excuses his behavior. " Mom and Dad split up so I'm going to start using drugs, cheat on my wife, and then leave her and my child." Thats a bit ridiculous in my opinion.

I know you love your husband. That's quite obvious. But you are going to EXHAUST yourself trying to fix something that you had no part in breaking. And most importantly, something that cannot be fixed by you. Do not forget.........this man despite what he once was, is now someone that does drugs, cheats, and leaves.

Geez....when it rains it pours huh. You've got lots of thinking to do...
I don't think getting back together with this man is what is best for you and for your child at this point. And I think that you keep getting these huge red lights flashed in front of your eyes.........signs...... are you seeing them? Are you recognizing them as signs?

I know you're hurting.......you'll hurt for a while... but what is best for you and your son?

Whether or not he wants to be in a relationship with you or not, this man needs serious help.
