tmy, I wish you could get your husband to start taking meds for his condition. It is probably a lost cause, but in a perfect world it would work and you would get someone who was more compatible with your needs and desires. I have diabetes and take medication every day. Many others have chronic condition and take medicine. Generally, taking such medication causes some side effects and taking them goes on until death. It is the burden each of us has to bear. I cannot understand why your husband thinks he is exempt and is not working to find medications that will work for his condition, especially when he has someone who is willing to stand with him through thick and thin.I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
From a speech by Patrick Henry on March 23, 1775 at St. John's Church, Richmond, Virginia -
tmy... I echo JNS.
And we hate goodbyes and usually close the thread, because you know more than anyone we are always here to help.
If you repeat yourself on several threads, you won't get as many answers.
But you have to use our "thoughts" , "opinions" and not just tell us your problems. We are here to help.PUT A LITTLE 'LIKE' IN MY SOUL!Comment

TMY Sweetie,I think some of you are getting annoyed at me because I tend to post the same things several times or post very similar things to previous ones
I think it's less annoyance and more Frustration. You've had this issue over a year ( on here at Least ). And it doesn't seem to be getting better, actually worse.
I think our frustration is similar to this .
You go to a Dr. for an issue, say an Infection, that left untreated will get worse and worse.
The Dr. gives you some medication and instructions on how to use it and that with proper use the infection will be gone.
But you won't take that medication or at least not properly. Then you go back to the Dr. for the same problem and he/ she gives you the same medication, the same instructions. And if you don't take the Meds again , the problem still exists and sometimes it is even more Complicated and Dangerous.
If you do this many times.. A Dr. is just going to say he can't help you anymore. And send you off to another Dr.
The same can be with Support Forums, we can offer our Best Medicine ( Advise ) but if you are unwilling to try it, After awhile we may feel we are wasting out time and try to help others that will at least Listen and Try it.
I think some of the Frustration is that you don't come back and say " Hey I tried this and this is what happened or this was his reaction ". You don't seem to want to change it ( his Problem ) very much, you seem to just want " friends to listen ".
I know you can Not change him or make him see a Dr. or get some Mental Help. But you can Remove yourself from his Abuse from his Refusal to change. Which means you have to Change Yourself... Change to a Woman who refuses and does Not allow herself to be Abused or Mistreated in Any Way .
Of Course we are here to Listen and Help and Advise.. But you have to show you are Listening and trying to better your Situation, By taking the Advise and Actually Implementing it .
Honey, We are here for you and you can Vent here. But after a year of the exact same issues, it gets hard for us to repeat ourselves time after time. You may need to get "Real Support from your Family", ones who can help you with more than just " Listening ", ones who can actually Help you make those Changes for your Happiness in the Future .
I and others are still here to Help.. But to Help you Help Yourself !!!
I wish you the Best.. As Always .

I heard a saying the other day, "The definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." The word "insanity" is taking it a bit far, but you get the point.
At WH pride ourselves in giving good advice and helping people (and ourselves) to make positive changes in the lives of others. When you ask for advice on a situation, many people will ingest your post within themselves and really think about it in order to give you good advice. If they do that, then you post the exact same situation again seeking advice, those of us responding begin to feel like you're not listening to a word we say and therefore, what's the point in repeating ourselves?
One of the best ways to help yourself, is to help others. Leaving (or threatening to leave) WH won't solve your problems. Being proactive in making changes in your life that are necessary for happiness, WILL solve your problems.Comment
