    Birth Control Hell.

My best friend started Depo provera shot last year and told me how great it was not to have a period. Well here i was thinking that sounds great since i never have a normal period, so why not get rid of it. well when i got the shot I was fine for a few weeks but then i started spotting. That was normal until my period came and never went away. when I went back to the doctor for my second shot i already had my period for a month striaght. I told the doctor my concerns and she told me to try and wait it out that with the second shot my hormones will calm down. YEAH RIGHT. I went four months with my period every day. Four months without being able to have intercourse with my fiance. well when i went back AGAIN to the doctor i was fed up so i asked to be switch to a different birth conrtol. Now I'm on the nuva ring and im in heaven. any one have a similar experiance and what caused it.

That does sound like hell. You weren't kidding! That kind of birth control seems so radical to me. It's just not the way nature intended things, I think. I'm having my own birth control drama issues right now too. Only mine sounds like a walk in the park compared to what you went through. I'm on the pill, and I missed three days and then started a new week and I'm strarting to wonder if I'm going to bleed to death!? ha ha ha. Well, this happened before, so i will probably have to quit the pill and wait it out and start all over again. We don't realize how powerful these hormones are until something goes wrong. Holy Heck! Guys got it so easy, don't they? Take care.

I had the same problem! Except mine went on for 9 months. I tried the patch, and spotted with it too. I went back on the pill, and I've done fine with it. I just stink at remembering. I'm considering trying the ring, but I'm worried about spotting again.

I have been on the nuva ring for sixth months and have gotten my period every month. i never had a regular period since childhood. I tryed the DEPO shot but I had no period and gained 15 pounds in four months that was it for me. I lovethe nuva ring no worries about pills taking or changing 4 a month

I have been on Depo for 4 years now and I have not had a problem except that I have gained weight, I just dont want someone to get scared away from it without two sides to the story, thats horrible what happened to you girls
