I had an implanon fitted 2 years ago, and it was fine for a year no bleeding or side effects, then i started bleeding very heavily my doctor tried to stabilise it with additional contraception pills, as she seemed reluctant to take it out, i think they are quite expensive but now after a year she has finally agreed that i can have it taken out as it has not settled down.

i got the implanon back in may '12 and for the first three months it was GREAT! and then all of a sudden i cant stop bleeding, along with ALOT of other symptoms that i am not so happy with.... my obgyn warned me about the bleeding and that a lot of women have it removed than he puts in {mainly the bleeding} however these other symptoms like headaches, enlargement on parts of the body, and MASSIVE mood swings..... i havent found alot of people giving advice on implanon, i have really only found research about it. but theres my 2cents

Anyone using Implanon?

I am now in my end months and have just started up spotting. The Dr is not too concerned about this and had advised me its normal. Have a thread up in the Birth Control Thread.
