Taking the Pill at Irregular Times
I'm currently on Ocella (generic for Yasmine). I usually take the pill at 9:00am. However, I was on vacation for 2 weeks at took the pill at irregular times for 2 weeks (sometimes at 9:00am, sometimes at noon, sometimes at late as 2:00pm) while having unprotected sex. I'm 3 days into the placebo pack and no period or signs of spotting. Pregnancy test shows not pregnant... Am I at risk of being pregnant? -
If you took it correctly last month and didn't ovulate, there's nothing to impregnate.
However, you're giving your body hormones at a different time each day, after they may have already run out. And there's a TINY chance you may have ovulated during one of those run-out times. But only you waiting it out can tell us whether you ARE pregnant.
Nature gives us shapeless shapes,
Clouds and waves and flame,
But human expectation is that love remains the same,
And when it doesn’t, we point our fingers and blame.
Register|Contact Admin|Email Admin
-
I took a pregnancy test just now, negative. I took my last BC pill on 1/4/09, I was expecting my period on 1/5/09. The only time I had unprotected sex without a condom was 1/1/09.
When would be the soonest that a home pregnancy test would give a correct negative result assuming I still have not gotten my period?Comment

It should tell you that on the box. If it's one of those one-week-before-your-missed-period ones, the negative you got is reliable.
Even if it's not, there's such a tiny chance you're pregnant. It's free to wait another few days!
Nature gives us shapeless shapes,
Clouds and waves and flame,
But human expectation is that love remains the same,
And when it doesn’t, we point our fingers and blame.
Register|Contact Admin|Email Admin
Comment

I seen some light spotting and horrible cramping today. No period yet, but I think spotting is a good sign I'm not pregnant. I guess now I'm mainly just worried about the whole cramping issue. These cramps do not feel like my normal period cramps. I'm not sure if it was me stressing out so much is what caused them or not.
Now I'm just waiting for the light spotting to turn into my normal period...Comment

I was on the pill for a few months and the problem I had was remembering to take them on time and each month I had really awful cramping before my period. I never knew if they were connected but I was afraid about the irregular time stuff so I switched off of it.
Also, the intense cramping could just be you stressing about it. I know it's hard but just try to not think about it
