I'm about to start taking YAZ this sunday and I was wondering if its a good pill to be taking. Like is it good with preventing pregnancy? Are there any crazy side effects I should be looking out for? I was on two different pill brand a few years ago for regulation and they both gave me morning sickness on the first day I took them each month. Has anyone had that with YAZ? I sure hope not because when I do decide to have sex I want to be fully protected.

hello ginger keep in mind that everyone is different and pills can affect women in different ways. I have heard of cases where women suffer severe cases on yaz and some that dont have any problems at all! I am currently on yaz and about to go onto my 4th month and its working well for me! i get some side affects during my period (paranoia, hot flushes etc) but they're bearable. Try yaz out and see if it works for you...keep in mind that you have to take it at the same time everyday for it to work properly! also search this forum for posts on yaz...believe me there are many!!

Hi Ginger.
I have recently started yaz and for the most part, I have no side effects. At first I was worried about the nausea and the like but so far so good. I have only been on it for about 5 days now so I wont consider myself out of the woods just yet. What I do have however is break through bleeding. this is a little too much for me (though you may not experience it). it has started from day one and shows no signs of slowing down at this point. It’s not as heavy as a period, but never the less…its there. And the worse part is that no one can tell me exactly when it will stop as everyone's body is different. I’ll try to stop back in to let you guys know how I’m doing. Good luck.
