    Spotting while on the pill

Hey I've had some issues with spotting through out my cycle. Does this mean that the pill isn't working properly? If not what are the chances I have of being pregnant, since I had sex while it was happening (embarrassing accident). If I were to take estrogen tablets with my pill would this help prevent the problem? Would there be any side effects?

If you are taking your pill every day, roughly the same time, spotting can occur, purely and simply due to stress. Or it can occur because you missed a pill, or took it late...

I don't know about taking more estrogen...

Can you advise if you have taken the pill regularly? That may help us answer your query.

Yeah I've taken it regularly, but I'm only on my first cycle while on it.
