spotting
im a first time user on birth control. im on alesse, started taking it on dec. 31. i recently started spotting about 1 week and 3 days ago. it hasnt been blood; it ranges from brown to dark brown. last night, i noticed it seemed to be disappearing...so i thought it would be over by today. with that being said, i had sex with my bf. as he pulled out, he noticed that everything was brown. i immediately went to the washroom, and i noticed it was more clumpy then usual. later on tonight, i went to the washroom and noticed that i had blood on my underwear and clear, light blood after i urinated. tonight was the first day of takin the "sugar pills"... so im a little confused if i just started my period today.. or if im still spotting. help please!

well since this is your first time taking the pills u shud have started the pills 5 days after your cycle, if not, then spotting usually occurs. And the sugar pills aren't really necessary so u dont have to stress yourself about taking them if u dont want to. But it usually takes about 2 - 3 months before your body really gets use to your cycle actually being controlled by another substances and spotting happens during the first 21 days of taking them. so dont be too afraid about it, everything will work out just fine!
