My fiance is thinking of getting one since my uterus flat out rejected IUD attempts. After much research and talking to people we've concluded nearly all impact on sex drive or emotional change is likely a result of psychological effects not physical. The remainder that do have a physical explanation are both uncommon and short term. I can't gurantee there isn't some rare person out there that had bad reactions but we failed to find any study results that proved any long term negative effects were the result of physical problems if any of them were even physical instead of completely psychological.
We also found some evidence that testosterone levels and sex drive may even be increased by a vasectomy.
Unfortunately I don't think either one of us saved any links or anything.Comment

I'm interested in learning more about this topic as well. Specifically long tem side effects. My SO and I, both in our 40s, do not have and do not want children and I think I am finally fed up with BC Pills. It seems like vasectomy is the most sensible, least expensive option with least amount of side effects. Would love to hear pros and cons...
