I was on the patch for about 3 months and I didn't like it I was always worried when it would bend and such. So I switched to Seasonale due to the appeal of only 4 periods a year. However since the day I started taking it I have been having a full fledged period. I am bleeding a lot. Called the doctor she said give it three to four weeks, but it just seems it is never going to end as it is so heavy. It's been 21 days. Anyone have some input on their experiences with this birth control form?

I was on seasonale for two years. For the first 6 months, I had very irregular bleeding. Not necessarily heavy, but on and off, sometimes just spotting, sometimes a little more, and also during or after sex. After the those first 6 months, my body adjusted and I really grew to like it. When I did get my period it tended to last a little longer but it did not affect the flow. Hope this helps!

Update

So just to keep all the info out there I finally stopped bleeding 6 days ago and so far no spotting or anything. So I'm taking it every day and have about a month and a half until my period is supposed to come so we'll see how it goes! Sure was a long time to bleed though let me tell you I even got a little anemic.
