    Missed Periods on Loestrin 24?

They seemed to have gotten shorter and lighter every month...this is month 7 and I have had a little bit of cramping (the usual) but no period in sight.

I've been religious about taking these pills. The latest I've been was 45 minutes.

Has anyone else had this experience with these?

I believe that's common with Loestrin. It can make your periods lighter and shorter. If you're not comfortable with it making your period disappear completely, you can talk to your doctor about possibly switching you to another pill.

I just went off Loestrin after taking it for 2 years. My second year on it, I took the pills (on my doctor's advice) without taking the placebos. From the very first time skipping the placebos, I never spotted, cramped or had any breakthrough bleeding.

Thank you for the information! I've really liked this pill so far as it has made my periods lighter and shorter. I also have completely skipped the placebo pills a couple times and haven't had any break through bleeding. It also seems to make the next month extra light.

I'm on my 3rd month of Loestrin and my period has been super light and no longer than 2 days. It's just the nature of the pills, because you have 24 active days and only 4 placebo days, it takes about 3 days for your body to realize the hormones aren't there so you only have a 1-2 day window to bleed before you start the active pills again. No complaints here!!
