Missed periods when i got off the Pill!
Back in Sept/October I broke up with my boyfriend of 4 years. ( We are back..lol) I decided to get off Birth Control also. So I stopped taking my pills in the middle of the pack. I did not get a period for the month of October. Skipped December too. In December i got! But lasted for almost 3 weeks...almost 4. So unitl January then it stopped. I did nothing...I forgot to start my pills up again that Sunday. So I decided to start the next month. Well, Its gonna me March and NO Period. Anyone experienced this before? So to sum it up I have gotten 2 out of 5 periods. How do I get back on track? Do I just start my pills on a Sunday? What is happeing? I have really bad anxiety and have been so stressed out. Could that be it?Last edited by womens-health; 02-28-2007, 10:21 AM. Reason: outbound links are not allowed from here-- any replies can be posted -
re: Missed periods
This is typical reaction to BC pills. It's likely caused by HPA Axis dysregulation. The pituatary controls LH and FSH hormones to the gonads in the production of estrogen. This negative feedback system becomes dysregluated with BC pill use.
It is possible to rebalance the HPA Axis.
