I am on orthotri-cyclen and missed 3 pills in row. I followed the instructions for missing 3 pills in a row. Ok...the next day my cycle came on and it was 2 weeks early. Ok I felt like that should have been expected but my problem is that I have been on my cycle for 12 days. It acted as if it was going to go off two days ago, but this morning its heavy as if it was my first day. PLEASE HELP. What can I do about this. This has totally disrupted my "Sex Life"...Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am not really surprised, missing three pills allows your body to think that it is no longer there so it goes on with the regular period regardless if it is weeks early or not. Then reintroducing the pill will again mess up the body, you will just have to keep taking the pills EXACTLY as directed and eventually your cycle will go back into birth control mode like it was before.There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy. -
