Pill to NuvaRing - Pros and Cons??
I am thinking about starting NuvaRing but I am hearing some horror stories and I want to be clear about people experiences. My main concern is weight gain and emotional disruptions. It sounds silly, but I am getting married in two months and the very LAST thing I want to worry about is unnecessary bloat and any additional crazy. Some mentions of hair loss are troubling as well. Obviously every body is going to respond differently, but I am wondering if any of you ladies have made the switch directly from Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (my current bc) or any other pill to NuvaRing and what your experiences were with that. Just as a reference, I am in my mid-twenties and started Ortho when I was 15, switching to Ortho Lo about 3 years ago.

YES, Nuvaring causes weight gain!
I've NEVER in my life had a weight problem. Always weighing in at about 118, I've gained 12 pounds in a year, 6 of those pounds in a little over a month, and am constantly bloated. I was so worried about the weight gain that I searched the internet and finally came across another posting site that had lots of women experiencing the same problem. Even athletic women with no history of weight problems. I'm planning to stop taking it and see what happens.Comment
