I just can't believe I put my body through that for almost 10 years!! Now, I'm sitting back and trying to be patient as I know it will take a while for my body to readjust itself to no artificial hormones. I know it won't all be lillies and roses, but I'm hopeful and excited that this will result in some very positive changes!

TWills - it really seems that a lot of good loving men out there who have had to witness their gf's and wives go through he** o BC are more and more willing to try something if it were available.

WHen I had my IUD (non hormone one) put in at Planned Parenthood, they had me come in the day before and slipped a bit of some kind bark into my cervix. This slowly absorbed some of my natural fluids. As I recall, this was many years ago, they did it while I was on the tail end of my period. The bit of bark slowly swelled and painlessly dialated my cervix the little bit needed to insert the IUD. When I went in the next day the now softened bark was easily removed, the IUD slipped into place in my uterus and it was done. It was really quite easy. I think I may have had a wee bit of minor cramping but I really don't recall, so if I did it wasn't notable.
This was really easy and was good for 10 years with no hormones to mess me up. When I had it removed, it was even simpler. I found it an excellent method.Comment
