    Implanon - continual bleeding

    Morning!
I have had the Implanon inserted a month ago today and have tracked that I have had three weeks on regular light spotting which requires using a tampon.

I am not wanting to have it removed as I am willing to give it the three months that they have said to settle. I am wondering if three weeks regular light spotting is prolonged and should I consult the doctor for something to stop the bleeding even for a little bit?

You could see your doctor but they probably won't give you anything until after 3 months. I was on implanon and it was terrible for me. First 2 periods were 3 weeks then it went to 4 and by the time I'd given up and was having it removed I had been bleeding for 32 days. It wasn't fun lol good luck

hey i have had the implanon in twice. the first time was great, just spotting like you had and then nothing. no period no cramps no nothing, it was fantastic. second time i have been having breakthrough bleeding and breakthrough ovulation. but in the end i think once you get past the occasional spotting it's pretty good. every woman has different needs so really you just gotta ask yourself: is this working for me?
