Depo Provera and possible pregnancy. Please help
Hi, my name is Kristin. I have been on Depo for almost two years (2 years in July). I mistakenly missed my last appointment though. I thought it was on the 22nd, but found out it was on the 16th. I had unprotected sex on the 20th and now I'm worried that there is a possibility that I might be pregnant. It's too soon to take a test, but I'm wondering how possible it is. -
Like any birth control there is a possibility, it is low...probably in the .x - .0x% range but it always differs. However the fact that it is not 100% effective means you should always have it as a concern and take the test when you are able to just to put your mind at ease. There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy. -
I agree with Itsasecret. If you are worried, take a HPT after 2-3 weeks (at the time of your expected period, or a week after.)

“..Passion is the source of our finest moments. The joy of love... the clarity of hatred... and the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion maybe we'd know some kind of peace... but we would be hollow... Empty rooms shuttered and dank. Without passion we'd be truly dead.†-Joss WhedonComment
